Discover the Deep Cleansing Power of Bia Gentle Cleansing Oil 2.0
Particulate pollution, also known as particulate matter (PM) pollution, refers to solid or liquid particles suspended in the air. These particles can range in size from very small, invisible to the naked eye, to larger, visible particles like smoke, dust, or soot.
PM can lead to aggravated skin sensitivity and reactivity, damaging the skin's barrier, increasing oxidative stress, and contributing to inflammation. PM has been linked to an increased risk and flareups in eczema, acne, and hives.
We studied the effectiveness of our cleansing oil to remove PM on 23 adult men and women. Two skin zones were defined, and 1 micron-diameter iron oxide micro-particles (to simulate PM2.5 pollution) were applied to all zones. The zones were imaged (t1 before rinsing) and then cleansed and imaged again (t2 after rinsing).
The cleansing oil was able to remove 3X more particulate matter than plain water. Which makes it ideal for removing the day from your face before bed.
