Decode Test Kits Instructions

Please view the instructions for your kit below. Some tests can be done immediately while others require preparation. Follow the instructions carefully to get the most accurate results.

DECODE.MYSKIN DNA

Test Kit Instructions

  1. REGISTER

    • Start by registering your test kit.
    • Use the SGBNet app on your phone to scan the barcode on the enclosed registration card, as well as the barcode on the return USPS label.

  2. PREPARE

    • Don't eat/drink/brush teeth at least 20 minutes prior to collecting your sample.
    • Separate the swab from its tube sleeve by twisting and pulling on both ends.
    • Do not discard the tube sleeve and do not touch the swab tip with your hand.
      (USE THUMB AND INDEX FINGER TO PULL OUT.)

  3. COLLECT

    • Rinse your mouth with water first.
    • Rub the swab tip vigorously on the entire inside of both cheeks of your mouth (approximately 20 times on each side). Yes - we do mean 20 times!
    • Put the swab back into the tube sleeve from which it was removed.
    • Push the stopper all the way in to seal the tube.

  4. RETURN

    • Place the tube in the clear biohazard bag.
    • Seal the clear biohazard bag and put it in the return envelope.
    • Seal the return envelope.
